How do I add 'HP Smart Print' as a device in the printers and scanners list on my Windows 10 PC, so that Smart Print appears as a printer in applications such as MS Word and Powerpoint? Add your printer to make a connection and gain easy access to your printer's features and settings, such as printing, copying, scanning, and more. HP Smart needs to access my location to find my printer, but when I open the app settings, location cannot be turned on. So the  printer is connecting to the network just fine, it's just that HP Smart won't add it as a new device. Can anyone please help me on how can i add printers WITHOUT the need to grant location access?

Printing Locally with a VPN

Any suggestions where I can find the location of the HP SMART App in my Laptop files so  I can disable HP SMART from using a VPN would be very helpful… HP online docs suggest that HP SMART App location is hidden for security reasons within some unknown and unspecified Win11 files location. However, Malwarebytes Privacy VPN that I use cannot recognize where is the location of the HP SMART App so it can be exempted by name from VPN use. However to exempt the HP SCAN s/w from VPN, I need to find its App location on the storage drive or hard disk.

As it happens, I found a "full webpack" source for this printer which included an HP scanner function and I already had it working as a Windows printer. Is there a manual way to add the device on HP Smart or a stand alone scanner app? Ironically I can easily add the printer in HP Smart on my Android  phone and use the scanner function from there but for now I cannot scan from Windows.
